IRB Brasil RE Presenta al Mercado Asegurador Brasileño el Insurance Forum en el Año en que Se Realizará el G20 en Argentina
Alrededor de 60 líderes brasileños del sector se reunieron el 8 de agosto, en el Hotel Unique, en São Paulo, para una presentación previa del Insurance Forum 2018. Por primera vez, el mercado de seguros y reaseguros tendrá un encuentro exclusivo en el marco del ” G20, que tendrá lugar en los días 25 y 26 de septiembre, en Bariloche, Argentina, con la participación de los representantes más influyentes del mercado asegurador mundial.
El Insurance Forum 2018 es liderado por Adrián Werthein, presidente, y por los coordinadores Alejandro Simón (Sancor Seguros), José Carlos Cardoso (IRB Brasil RE), Recaredo Arias (GFia) y Toyonari Sasaki (LIAJ – Life Insurance Association of Japan). El evento fue divulgado la semana pasada por el Ministro de Hacienda Argentino, Nicolás Dujovne, y el Superintendente de Seguros de Argentina, Juan Pazo.
Los objetivos de este primer encuentro en Brasil fueron: presentar la agenda del Insurance Forum 2018, que trata de la importancia del mercado de seguros y reaseguros para la economía global, e invitar a los principales representantes del mercado brasileño para participar del evento.
“Nuestro papel es liderar las discusiones, aprovechando la presencia de grandes nombres de nuestro mercado para ampliar la visibilidad del sector que tiene un papel fundamental para la agenda del G20. Sabemos que las cuestiones que involucran la innovación tecnológica, el desarrollo sostenible y la estabilidad financiera, por ejemplo, no se resuelven totalmente sin la intervención de nuestro segmento. “Podemos contribuir no sólo a través del desarrollo de productos innovadores para impactar positivamente la economía, sino también como catalizadores de recursos para objetivos comunes”, explicó el presidente del IRB Brasil RE, José Carlos Cardoso.
“Es un hecho histórico y una oportunidad para que el sector de seguros tenga un encuentro de esa relevancia. Las prioridades de la Presidencia Argentina del G20 son el futuro del trabajo, la infraestructura para el desarrollo y el futuro alimentario sostenible, temas directamente relacionados con el sector de seguros. “Creemos que esta reunión será beneficiosa tanto para los reguladores e industria, como para toda la comunidad asegurada”, complementó el Superintendente de Seguros de la Nación Argentina, Juan Pazo.
Además el Superintendente de Seguros de la Nación de Argentina y el Presidente de IRB Brasil RE, la programación conto con la participación del Ex Embajador de Brasil Carlos Alfredo Magariños de Insurance Forum Chairman, Adrian Werthein, del Presidente de la CNS, Marcio Coriolano, y el Cónsul General de Argentina en São Paulo, Luiz Castilho.
Crecimiento en el Mercado
La relevancia del sector es comprobada por los números. En Brasil, el mercado de reaseguros mantuvo la tradición histórica de crecer en la casa de dos dígitos altos en 2017, incluso con la crisis económica en el país.
El IRB Brasil RE tiene una participación fundamental en ese resultado, que sigue creciendo en 2018. El beneficio neto de la empresa alcanzó R$ 541 millones en el primer semestre de este año, lo que representa un avance del 19% con relación al mismo período de 2017. Ya en con relación al volumen total de la prima emitida, tuvo un crecimiento del 17%, alcanzando R$ 3,3 billones.
Según José Carlos Cardoso, las cifras confirman que la inclusión de este tema en las discusiones del G20 será beneficiosa para todos y que este evento único y pionero es un hito para el mercado, posicionando al sector de seguros y reaseguros como un stakeholder importante en los futuros encuentros de las negociaciones mayores economías del mundo.

IRB Brasil RE Presents the Insurance Forum to the Brazilian Insurance Market in the Year in which the G20 will be held in Argentina

"Our role is to lead the discussions, taking advantage of the presence of big names from our market to expand the visibility of the sector that has a fundamental role for the G20 agenda. "We can contribute not only through the development of innovative products to positively impact the economy, but also as catalysts of resources for common objectives," said IRB Brasil RE President José Carlos Cardoso.

The priorities of the Argentine Presidency of the G20 are the future of work, the infrastructure for development and the sustainable future of food, issues directly related to the insurance sector. Growth in the Market
The relevance of the sector is proven by the numbers. In Brazil, the reinsurance market maintained the historic tradition of growing in the high double-digit house in 2017, even with the economic crisis in the country.
IRB Brasil RE has a fundamental participation in this result, which continues to grow in 2018. The company's net profit reached R $ 541 million in the first half of this year, representing an advance of 19% compared to the same period of 2017.
