Hottinger Fue promovido en AXIS Re, a Presidente de EMEA Latam
AXIS Re, la unidad comercial global de reaseguros de AXIS Capital Holdings, ha anunciado la promoción y el nombramiento de Andy Hottinger para el cargo de Presidente de su división EMEA Latam.
En esta nueva función, Hottinger reportará directamente al CEO de AXIS Re Steve Arora y formará parte del Equipo de liderazgo de reaseguros de AXIS.
“Andy tiene un profundo conocimiento de la estrategia y los valores de nuestra empresa, así como de las oportunidades de crecimiento futuro. Él es un líder respetado que continuamente ha entregado resultados de alta calidad. Su combinación de experiencia técnica y habilidades de liderazgo de personas le servirá bien a AXIS Re, ya que asume el liderazgo de nuestro importante negocio de reaseguros de EMEA y LatAm. Espero trabajar más estrechamente con Andy cuando se une al Equipo de liderazgo de reaseguros para ayudarnos a avanzar en nuestra ambición de lograr una posición de liderazgo en el mercado global de reaseguros", explicó Arora.
Hottinger estará en los zapatos del viejo colega de AXIS Re y el Presidente de EMEA Latam, Jan Ekberg, quien se jubilará en julio después de una carrera de 45 años en seguros y reaseguros, 15 años de los cuales fueron en AXIS.

Hottinger ha trabajado en AXIS durante más de una década, incluidos varios roles de administración de suscripción dentro de AXIS Re. Más recientemente, se desempeñó como Jefe de Propiedad de EMEA, antes de lo cual fue Jefe de Ingeniería y Riesgo de Propiedad. Antes de unirse a AXIS, Hottinger trabajó en la empresa francesa de reaseguros SCOR y en la compañía suiza de seguros Converium. Hottinger asumirá su nuevo cargo el 1 de julio de 2019, luego del retiro de Ekberg.

Hottinger Promoted at AXIS Re, to President of EMEA Latam
AXIS Re, the global reinsurance business unit of AXIS Capital Holdings, has announced the promotion and appointment of Andy Hottinger to the role of President of its EMEA LatAm division.
In this new role, Hottinger will report directly to AXIS Re CEO Steve Arora and will become part of the AXIS Reinsurance Leadership Team.
“Andy has a deep understanding of our company’s strategy and values, as well as opportunities for future growth. He is a respected leader who has continually delivered high-quality results. His mix of technical expertise and people leadership skills will serve AXIS Re well as he assumes leadership of our important EMEA and LatAm reinsurance business. I look forward to working more closely with Andy as he joins the Reinsurance Leadership Team to help advance our ambition of achieving a leadership position in the global reinsurance market,” explained Arora.
Hottinger steps into the shoes of longtime AXIS Re colleague and EMEA LatAm President Jan Ekberg, who is set to retire in July after a 45-year career in re/insurance, 15 years of which were at AXIS.

Hottinger has worked at AXIS for over a decade, including a number of underwriting management roles within AXIS Re. Most recently he served as Head of Property EMEA, before which he was Head of Engineering and Property Risk. Before joining AXIS, Hottinger worked at French reinsurance firm SCOR and Swiss reinsurance company Converium. Hottinger will take on his new role on July 1st 2019, following Ekberg’s retirement.
