Según El Ranking de A.M. Best, Swiss Re Supera A Munich Re como Primera Reaseguradora Mundial en 2018
A.M. Best ha publicado su tradicional ranking de los 50 mayores grupos de reaseguro por primas del pasado año, con una importante novedad: Swiss Re encabeza el ranking por delante de Munich Re. Desde 2010, solo en 2016 el grupo suizo sumó más ingresos anuales que su rival alemán. “Esperemos que los dos grupos continúen compitiendo por el primer puesto en un futuro previsible”, indica Filippo Novella, analista financiero de la agencia. “En conjunto, los dos son los mayores proveedores de capacidad de reaseguro del mercado y representan aproximadamente el 30% de las primas totales de los 50 primeros grupos”, indica.
El informe de la agencia muestra que los 10 primeros grupos del ranking representan el 68% de las primas brutas, lo que refuerza el sentimiento de A.M. Best de que los reaseguradores más grandes del sector siguen asumiendo más riesgos, “a pesar de los esfuerzos de las cedentes por diversificar sus paneles de reaseguros y repartir su riesgo de contraparte”. Los 50 primeros grupos de reaseguros registraron en 2018 un ratio medio combinado del 100,9%, lo que supone una mejora de 8,2 puntos porcentuales con respecto al año anterior, debido principalmente a la disminución de las pérdidas por catástrofe. Cabe apuntar, en este sentido, que Mapfre Re -que figura en el puesto 19º de la clasificación- tuvo el pasado año el tercer mejor ratio combinado de los 20 primeros grupos, con un 98,3%.

A.M. Best has published its traditional ranking of the 50 largest reinsurance groups for premiums last year, with an important novelty: Swiss Re leads the ranking ahead of Munich Re.
